On March 2018 Lodovica Busiri Vici and Benedetta Spalletti, opened Vistamarestudio, a gallery space in Milano with a solo exhibition by American artist Tom Friedman.
Located between Porta Venezia and Piazza Repubblica, it’s a space for experimenting without boundaries, that wants to raise a critical dialogue thanks to the collaboration with galleries and institutions. The program focuses on projects specifically conceived by Italian and international artists, beyond a classification of generations, whose purpose is to challenge and at the same time question the viewer. A place where artists can express ideas and projects conceived for the space, that will continue and complete the program started by Vistamare in Pescara, opened by Benedetta Spalletti in 2001.
Vistamare, which has a long time tradition with conceptual art, features a long lasting program of projects and exhibitions with artists from various generations such as Getulio Alviani, Giovanni Anselmo, Rosa Barba, Pavel Buchler, Mimmo Jodice, Joseph Kosuth, Sol LeWitt, Armin Linke, Louise Nevelson, Ettore Spalletti, Haim Steinbach and Jan Vercruysse.
